sensor with infinite frequency interval

hi, I was wondered that the meaning of " no realistic sensor or actuator can operate over an infinite frequency interval". is it meaning that there is no sensor or actuator can operate last forever(infinite frequency interval)?

To me, "infinite frequency interval" would mean from DC to MHz, GHz or even THz. In other words that sensors, like all other real-world devices, have limited band-width.

Hmm.. i read from a journal related to Gramians.
Gramians for stable systems are classically defined as integrals over infinite time or frequency intervals. however, there is no realistic sensor or actuator can operate over an infinite frequency interval. Consequently, the gramians are only approximations to the quantities that actually describe any physical system.
