Separators, & Drips

During the steel fabrication process, what codes & or regulations are we to adhere to in the Mfg. of Drips for the Gas and Oil Industry?
All suggestions are apprecisted.

David,
It really depends on jurisdiction and service.

A drip inside a plant fence (in most places in the US) would come under ASME B31.3. If it is on a non-jurisdictional gas pipeline you would be safe in most places using ASME B31.8. If it is jurisdictional gas pipeline then the specific requirements of DOT 192 would apply. Some places call a drip a vessel and point to the boiler code for jurisdiction.
