Hi all,

i am looking for a quick way to set out a curve without setting out co-ordinates for each in individual point.

Usually id set out the center point of the circle and just shoot out the radius i.e 16.050m

But the center point is not accessible,

is it possible to set out an offset of the ccentre point and still shoot the distance?

Thank you

By the way i use a Sokkia S30 Total Station and also a Nikon one

You can also set up at the BC, EC or PI and shoot those same points, though each one will have a different distance from you. But that would be a simple calculation.

If you know the direction and point of tangency (POT) of any tangent line to that circle, the radius of that circle will be perpendicular at POT
