Setting the active view

I am having an issue with the drawing side of Pro E wildfire 3.0. What I have is a sheet with several views. I want to use view/drawing display/component display to blank out a component from an assembly in one of the views. The problem is when I select the component to remove it the wrong view is selected for it to be blanked. There must be a way to set the "active view" any ideas.
