Can anyone tell me where to find sewage flow rates for a 12 dormitory military complex with 7000 population? Peak flow, average, etc. I assume peak would be when everyone rises at the same time and flushes and showers. I also assume this population is way beyond modeling with fixture units. Any modeling suggestions without taking out a second mortgage to buy SewerCad?

My first thought is that the military is bound to have design information for this kind of stuff somewhere.

RHOEng,

The Dept. of the Army, US Corps of Engineers Design Guidelines for WasteWater Treatment should have these standards.

As a rule of thumb, I used the following figures in the design and has not received any complains so far:

1. For Middle East Location:

250 Liters (66 US Gallons) per person per day should be sufficient. Peak flow taken as 3 times the average flow for up to 3 hrs.

2. For US and Europe Location:

100 US Gallons/Person/Day . Peak flow taken at 3 times the average flow for up to 3 hrs.

Good Luck!!
