shaft tool will not rotate sketch 1

I am having trouble with this simple part. First I am trying to constrain the part by defining dimensions as dia. rather than radius. The book said to right click in the geometry area and choose the Radius/Diameter option. Occasionally this would work but not most of the time. I right click but the option is not there. What am I doing wrong?
Also this sketch is fully constrained with centerline. When I back out of sketcher and go to the shaft tool all that happens is the sketch turns white but does not revolve to form a solid. I had made this part earlier and had no problem.
Could you explain how to include a screen shot with my text.

When you are out from sketch, did you choose an entity (line or axis) to rotate around your sketch?

Actually I re booted my machine and it works fine now. Next time I'll do that first. Thanks for the web site.
