Is it possible to share sketches in NX6? I've created a sketch but it's self intersecting so it won't allow me to do a cut extrude in one go. want to be able to select a section of the sketch to put the cut extrude in but it doesn't allow me. what's the best way around this? i know i can create 2 seperate sketches but i'd like to find out if i can avoid having to do this.

If you set your selection intent to 'single curve', you can select individual curves from the sketch to extrude.

you make it look easy. thanks very much. works a charm.

I prefer to set my default to connected curves. that is usually what I want.

The 'Stop at Intersection' option can also be very helpful when working with a complex sketch which is "self intersecting".
