Hello,
We are manufacturers of Thermocouples, and one of our customers wants us to quote for 68 thermocouple assemblies complete with a “Shear-off valve”in the nipple extension. The purpose of this is that if the protection tube fails the valve will close automatic so no fluids will be spilled. While the valve closes it will cut off the thermocouple sensor wires. The manufacturer of the valves has to be UOP approved.
Processes involved :
Process Max. Pressure Max temp degrees C
1. Fluegas 4.8 kg/cm2 746
2. HC 5.5 kg/cm2 788
3. Hydrocarb 4.1kg/cm2 565
4. Catalyst 5.1kg/cm2 788
Valve rating : 300#
Normal pressure when open: Atmospheric
Pressure to activate valve .5kg/cm2 above atmospheris pressure
Can anybody let me know where I could get this kind of valves?
Thanks.
