The shear rate of a power law fluid at the wall of a pipe in laminar flow is:

((3n+1)/n) x (Q/(pi x r3))

n = flow index
Q = volumetric flow rate
pi = 3.14159
r = inside radius of pipe

Does anyone have a reference and/or equation for the shear rate at the inside of the outer wall of a annuli in laminar flow?

Is there another forum I could try?

Good luck,

Couldn't it be approximated by the equation you list above?

Try the Mecahnical Engineers piping & fluid mechanics engineering.
