Shear wall: How to do with Pu>0.35Po 1

The boss want me to design shear wall. The firsr time for me, so I would like to be consultancy.

I am reading manual of Etabs I found the condition:

Pu<0.35P0;

Manual says: if Pu>0.35P0, -> not check for shear wall;

I have looked for some original standards and original document but I could not find the provisions or content about above condition.

Could you help me solve this problem!
