Hello everyone,

Where can I find good shear wall schedule and notes? I searched online and couldn't find anything useful

Thank you

Perhaps this isn't super helpful, but I'm not sure where to direct you other than refer to someone else's plans. Podium/pedestal buildings with upper wood or CFSF walls tend to have lots of shear wall schedules and notes. I've done framing inspections for a bunch of them, so I had some references to go off when I decided I wanted to use a shear wall schedule (not often).

At risk of being criticized for my design choices... here's how I do mine for CFSF (wood is pretty much identical). I don't know if you'd consider this to be "good", but it's similar to how I've seen others do it. Sometimes I have more notes for the holddowns (sp?) if the configuration is weird, but I usually show this with typical shear wall elevations/details.

I don't really have notes specifically for shear walls, since I think with a comprehensive schedule in tandem with my typical notes for wood/CFSF, it's pretty well specified, but that's just how I've done it. I have seen plans with less-specific schedules and more actual shear wall notes, but I don't want to share other's work.
