I have custom dwg templates that I use as I am sure most of you do. When I insert a second sheet on my dwg, my template is not the one that is inserted on this second sheet. It is some generic template.

I checked - system options
default templates
and the part/assem/dwg fields contain the proper link to my templates.

How do I set things so my template is inserted on additional sheets?

Thanks,
DG

OK I found out how.

I didn't realize you could "export/save" the sheet format.
I did this on my template then selected custom and chose this custom sheet format when I inserted the new sheet.

When inserting the next sheet Click the down arrow and pick custom, then click Browse and find your sheet format and click OK

If you haven't saved your title block as a sheet format you need to do that for all custom title blocks that you have made. It's also good to make backups of them.

I find it quite annoying that there is no option to duplicate the current sheet format on the next sheet.

An enhancement request perhaps?

It should by default use the template that was last used. You can check that by clicking on the path and pushing the "End" key. It will take you to the end of the path and reveal the name of the file. Of course you have to have custom picked in sheet format.
