Sheet metal from solid emergency 3

Please see the file attached (NX12.0.2)

I'd like to complete the linked body into a sheetmetal body. Only there is one side witch will not work.....

Please feel free to try and give me the solution.

(p.s. i know the smal triangle has to be exlcuded )

I wish I could but I see it is an NX12 part, and I only have NX10 right now.

Problem lies with the edges you need to rip. NX is unable to create a body for those.
(as a workaround I applied a thicken first and then used Synchronous modeling to clean up the geometry)

If you only select the first edge then it works (ripping). as soon as you select additional ones it will fail.

Sheet Metal from Solid has been reworked in NX 12.0.2 - and it seems not everything has been considered. Actually I opened, I'm opening and will open tickets about the new SMFS...
I was able to create the SMFS in NX 12.0.1
Before you open your part in 12.0.1 you should delete the SMFS in 12.0.2 - otherwise: Internal Error.

There is a problem with the splitted face, but I think you can create a gap in the linked sheet body before.

You're right i've done some sheet SMFS with the 12.0.1 version. In this version it was mucht better... When you make a ticked please feel free to make sure they also highlight the selected bend edges.

Hi all,

Thomas is correct, there's an issue in 1202 and the team are working hard to correct that. This works fine in 1201 and I have attached a part that could be your solution.

As far as the continuous release comment, sarcasm or not, I would advise finding out how it is intended to work before throwing it away. With problems like this, the fix will be available much sooner than before; of course you don't have to click the update button and I'm pretty sure you can roll-back an update.
