We are currently switching from an AutoCAD environment to SW2005.
We manufacture HVAC systems and use multiple types of sheet metal i.e. 16ga CRS, 16ga Galvanized, 14ga CRS, 18ga CRS, etc.
I have established templates for each material with new material databases saved. Each template lists the "Material Classification" as the material type (I.e 16ga CRS, 16ga Galv, etc.) and the material name as our ERP raw material part number. This allows me to fill in the drawing BOM with the material PN automatically.
I need to know how to establish sheet metal parameters that will be retained by the template for the following:
1. T1 or Thckness
2. K-Factor
Currently SW2005 picks up the last used values for these fields so my 16ga thickness of .060 is prefilled in my 10ga thickness when I switch from template to template.
My goals to have as much standardization in the templates so when my designers pick the correct template, the standards are set.
How can I solve this?
