Is it possible to create (and finally flatten), using exclusive Sheet Metal tools, the solid in the attachment?
It is a challenge!......

The part contains non uniform thickness sets of faces and therefore it can not be done in its current form.

advanced sheet metal tools - Metaform will do it

The zip file details how metaform will unform the part in to a flat profile, it will not give you a flat solid though
