Sheet Pile Design (checking against heave)

Designing a sheet pile that will tied to bottom of retaining wall. On one side of retaining wall is 14' of water and nothing on the other. The soil properties below are as follows (0-8' CH -- 9'-12' Peat -- 13'-33' CH). Having trouble with the pressure diagram (for cohesive soils entering peat layer and returning to clay layer). Any guidance or help is appreciated.

As I read your post I envision a very soft foundation. 14 ft of water load on an I-type floodwall (concrete stem on embedded sheet pile) is significant, even for a good foundation. Forensics in New Orleans identified the formation of a flood side gap at the wall that may extend to the bottom of the sheetpile. As a reminder, consider global stability and seepage effects in your design. You might consider performing a complete soil-structure interaction type analysis. Your deflections could be much larger than anticipated.
