Sheet Plie Wing walls

I am currently designing 4 wingwalls for a canal approaching a pump station. The wingwalls are 24 feet deep with 35 feet embedment. The bottom of the canal needs to have two different elevations which will be provided by installing sheet pile retaining walls. That change of elevation is 35 feet away from the wingwall. My concern is that I believe the failure planes from the walls intersect causing some instability (See attached sketch)

Does anybody know a reference that deals with this kind of situation or how to analyze it?

You need your geotechnical to look at the global stability of the proposed configuration. Is this the final or an intermediate situation?

GeoPavetraffic, this situation occurs right at the entrance (intake) to the pump station where the canal ends. How that would affect?

Cvg, I didn't quite understand where you are suggesting the concrete apron. Could you please develop a little bit more?

the apron would line the invert of the canal at the headwall. If it is structurally tied into the wingwalls, it would offer quite a bit of support to the walls.
