Hello

At my company, we normally produce these heatexchangers acc. to PED and they don´t need to be approved, But my AI told me that for asme they are inside the scope.

Specs:

Shellside : water at max 38C with a pressure of max 2 bar(a)

tube side: wasteheat at max 70C with a pressure of 330mbar(a)

I can see in the scope that code is applied, if a vessel, exceeds 15PSI(G) but is this also applicable when the medium is water.?

Thank you for you Input.!

MLHE, you can possibly exempt this vessel under U-1(c)(2)(f) or (g). You should also confirm if your jurisdiction permits such exemptions.

Regards,

Mike

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand

Thank you for your answer Mike

There was no way around, on this one, because of the volume.
