Shell element mesh in SAP and ETABS 1

Is there any faster way to mesh the slab defined as shell elements in SAP? In etabs, there is a function of "Auto Line Constraint" which can force the deformation compatability between different elements. Is there any similar function in SAP so that we can do the same thing?

The same function exists in SAP, it is just turned on by default in ETABS and turned off by default in SAP. To turn it on in SAP, just select the areas and go to Assign/Area/Generate Edge Constraints.
