Shell TAT for (On/Off) Actuators

Status
Not open for further replies.
With reference to archived thread408-261757, I just found out that February 2011 edition of Shell DEP 31.40.70.30-Gen. specification about QUARTER-TURN ACTUATORS FOR ON/OFF VALVES provides for a Type Approval Testing (TAT) procedure: see APPENDIX A, page 39.

Has anybody undertaken the venture already?
Anybody aware of actuator designs and/or Manufacturers qualified according to that specification?

Thanks and Regards,
'NGL

stanier, gustorf,
thanks for your replies!

I did follow a number of valve TAT's myself (and I could meet Mr. Tony Smart and many Colleagues of his from Shell Global Solutions International).

I was just wondering if an actuator TAT is as long and severe as a valve TAT is, which are the most difficult steps to pass, etc... ;-)

Best Regards,
'NGL
