We are making a Pressure Vessel of the following specifications
Design Pressure : 3.5 barg
Design Temperature : 85 degC
Diameter (ID) : 900 mm
Length (T/T) : 2000 mm
Capacity : 1000 liters
MOC : SS316L
Head Type : 2:1 Ellipsoidal
Design Code : ASME Sec VIII Div1 Ed. 2010
Corrosion Allowance : 0.0 mm
Shell Thickness : 6 mm
We are forming the dish ends with 6mm sheet, so the final thickness after forming is around 5.3 mm.
So the shell thickness is 6mm, dish ends around 5.3 mm whch will be welded on both sides.
Will this be a deviation from the specifications, or is it negligible.
Please advise.
