We have two crude heaters furnaces of 15 meters high by 25 meters long. The crude unit has two heaters in parallel. In both heaters, on shock tubes, we experienced coil tubes bending, because of loss of tube supports. In one of the heaters, the top radiation coil, of the shock zone, which has the cross over, to make the transition to the convection zone, fell down completely over the soil of the furnace. Happily this occurrence happened without the rupture of the coil. At the moment the unit is being shut down, so that we might decide what to do and find out what really happened. Did anyone of forum already experience such a similar failure?
Thank you in advance
