shortcut key in pro e

Hello everybody,

Is there a way we can create our own shortcut command key in pro e.(example assign extrude to E)

I experiment mapkeys but didn't got the result.

Mapkeys are the way to go...

How were you doing it, it is pretty straight forward?

Tell us what you did and we may be able to see where you went wrong.

Description
Name and Desc are useful to Identify Mapkeys Click in Cell because Tab key skips both fields.

Hit Record and then select Extrude icon or use Insert or specific pull down menu.

Hit Stop.

When you get back to the Mapkey dialog you can hit save changed to add your new mapkey into the Config.pro file. Or as I'd recommend you can choose Save All and point it to a custom file to keep your config.pro uncluttered and prevent multiple lines for the same mapkey.

If you get a 500+line config.pro file that is > 10meg your Pro/E will launch after the long reading session. I always save all to Mapkey-###.pro so i can tell latest and rename this one to allmapkeys.pro and have a mapkey "lm" to load allmapkey.pro using full path and hit apply in Tools > Options dialog.

You can give names that are multi character like
cdd: Create Dim Driving
cdr: Create Dim Reference
to increase your number of shortcuts.

if e is extrude and you want to add Edit References use
ee: extrude
er: edit references
