every time i've dealt with shot rock in structural areas, all the shot rock has been (or was specified to have been) excavated out and backfilled with structural fill. interested if anybody has had experiences with leaving it in intentionally. scenario being that the road access is needed now but the location of future utility trenches are unknown. the elevation of those utilities can be ballparked but there is no way to layout for trench rock at this point.
