We are having a new 2205 tank being shop fabricated that will be placed on an outdoor concrete pad. Should we have a pad of some sort between the tank and the concrete base?
Often one issue is thermal cycling, when the tank and pad expand differently there will be movement.
It often comes down to size and temperatures.
You still to prevent water and impurities from collecting under the tank.
Thanks, @EdStainless. This particular tank is fairly small, about 12' in diameter, and temperatures will range from 60F-100F. Would simply setting it directly on the concrete and caulking the chime suffice then? I wasn't sure if the concrete affects 2205 differently than other types of stainless.
