Should this system be TSSA certified? Piping system 1

Hello,

Here is the system in question:

a heat recovery system for heating other areas

System specifications:
Design temp : 25-40C
Design Pressure : 90-100 PSI
Fluid: 50% H2O 50% Propylene Glycol
It has been checked out by a PEng. and stamped, and analyzed with ALGOR, using ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel standards.

Echan - most people on this site won't have any idea what the TSSA is. For anyone who doesn't know, and is interested, it's the Technical Standards & Safety Authority and is the inspection authority for boilers & pressure vessels, pressure piping, and fuel safety (among other things) in Ontario.

What's the heat source? If it has anything to do with fuel fired equipment, the installation may very well involve the Fuel Safety people. If the relief valves are set beyond a given threshold, then it could involve the Boilers & Pressure Vessels group. If you have any doubts, contact the TSSA directly

The bulk of my work involves pressure piping, and simply having an design stamped by a PE does NOT constitute registration in Ontario. A huge number of people - including many PE's - mistakenly believe that it does. The TSSA must approve & stamp the design & specification, inspect the competed installation, and witness the hydrostatic test. Until that process is completed, the installation does not meet code requirements in Ontario.
