Should we rotate a spare alternator rotor from time to time? 1

Hi

We have a spare alternator rotor for our 45 MW alternator. Should we rotate it from time to time to prevent bending or damage at the support points? It is now in a wooden box sealed in plastic.

How is the rotor supported? Between bearings?

No bearings. It is inside a wooden box.

If it is resting on the rotor body (core area) with at least 3 supports, then no need to rotate.
