After performing a measure distance I always have to check the "show information window" under "results display". Nx9 doesn't remember to keep this checked. Is there a customer defaults setting for this???

There is also a way to keep the settings even if you hit 'Cancel' to leave a dialog. If anyone's interested I can supply the 'fix' but it's officially UNSUPPORTED.

OK, simply set the following environment variable:

UGII_UIFW_SAVE_MEMORY_ON_CANCEL=ON

Now keep in mind that officially this is a totally unsupported 'fix'. Now I've been using it since NX 7.5 (BTW, it was created per my personal request since it helped to make my demos flow a bit smoother if I didn't have to go back and start over filling in the options on a dialog if I was forced to cancel for some reason) and have had no real problem except that there are a few situations (which I can't recall at the moment) where this has no effect, but those are rare (and they will not be fixed).

So anyway, give it a shot if you wish to. At least, I think it helps to keep things moving more smoothly, but that's only my humble opinion.

Thanks Dave/Tomas/John! That worked. I think I will also add your "fix" John, I'll try that later today. Thanks for your help... ( that was so annoying ) Dennis
