The first is a weather broadcaster showing how a small ripple in the jet stream can cause the weather changes.
The second is a physicist explaining weather control using very powerful lasers he is likely in the loop of what is happening in the field.
Are we enjoying the last 3 years of extreme weather events yet?

oh god, I hope not ... "weather control using very powerful lasers"

1) how much power do you need to control the weather ? There's an awful lot of energy in the atmosphere.
2) have you heard of "unintended consequences" ?
3) do you think we really know what we're doing ??

The way I figure it, there's not too much they can do in the next 20 years (30 tops) ... so I won't have to live with it.

The old computer game Sim City 2000 used to have a microwave powerplant where energy would beam from a satellite in space. In the game it was cheap and made a lot of power but every once in a while the beam would miss and set the adjacent city blocks on fire.

That was inspiration for my idea to fight climate change. Use solar to generate power to run a microwave antenna to beam the energy into space. A much safer way to cause cooling than trying to modify the weather.

Power needed? Just ask Michio Kaku he is the one talking about it.
How much power to cause a ripple in the jet stream? Only a small area needs to be heated, not the whole atmosphere.

The idea with microwaves is that they pass through the atmosphere without dissipating much energy. If you can get them into space that energy is gone. Perhaps we could code messages into it for aliens to intercept as well. You know, "don't be like us and live in so much fear of a 0.5% increase in air temp that you're willing to expell useful energy into space."

Michio Kaku, said lasers in the tera watt range nothing said about micro waves.
