In a part of the industry where density values are rounded up to the nearest 0.5kg/m3, shrinkage has never figured as a significant concern allwoing many calculations to be simplified.
I'm not sure the industry wants to consider it now, but having started on a multi-stream blend calculation spreadsheet, I'd like to get a handle on it.
The density differences seem significant to me.

For multiple streams blended together s there a way to calculate the shrinkage in one step or do I have to do a sequence of two component calculations?
And, most importantly, is there any point in trying with multiple streams? Is the calculation a good approximation for two streams but after that any contact with reality is lost? I note the concern in one paper about the sensitivity to density accuracy and in another (by the CAPP) the suggestion that 2509 is not current enough..... Google doesn't return much on shrinkage which doesn't help.

Any helpful advice appreciated. Any references to internet sources would be very much appreciated.
