Hello,
I am involved in a project where a 3-phase 25 MVAr shunt reactor is to be installed at 50 kV line voltage. The connection would be star.
I have read that some manufacturers advice that shunt reactors below 72,5 kV should have isolated neutral and grounded neutral for voltages of 115 kV and above.
What are advantages / disadvantages with isolated / grounded neutral?
Best Regards
