Hi,

Our company is flexible with people's schedules.
Currently, I have the common cold symptoms (tested negative for Covid). I do not want to go to work and risk contaminating my teammates.
Our team uses for communication on a vast scale MS Teams.
I work from home today: should I place a notice regarding my current health status and the reason I didn't go to our office?
Do you have a tailored related message for use?
Thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot!

If you are allowed to work from home and don't have to report to the office, just work from home as you usually would. If your supervisor wants you to come to the office, let them know that you have a cold and don't want to infect others. I'm not sure what the issue is.

As a supervisor, I would recommend that if your company prefers you to have a status (some do/don't) as to your location (Building A, Building B, WFH, etc) then do that. If not, don't worry about it. Main thing would be to let your supervisor know of your status (WFH/whatever) in case they need to get in touch with you.

Thank you all for your time.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Have a nice day!
