I have a general question regarding the meaning of some errors displaying in various parts of NX5:

1. Sometimes there is an exclamation mark (!) next to the file name(displays top left of the program window bar). What does this signify and what is the problem?

2. What is the difference between red cross warnings and yellow cross warnings in the software? (within constraints?)

3. When using the deform command the feature node for the deformed part when added to the assembly either shows a white dot next to the feature or a red dot. What do these show?.

Any help appreciated.

One that I have been getting lately is
"Warnings while opening (file path/name). The following warnings were issued while loading.
(file path/name) - The search"

That's it, no further explanation. You can enlarge the window as much as you want, but nothing is added.

1. The exclaimation point indicates that the part is out-of-date and needs to be updated.
2. Red is an error, yellow is a warning.
