silencer pressure drop coefficient

I'm a newbie to industrial silencers and I want to know more about the silencer pressure drop coefficient(c) and how to find it by yourselves.

You measure it or calculate it or simulate it. Incidentally it is a fluid dynamics concept, not acoustics.
