Jul 31, 2009 #2 SalamiVice Mechanical Jul 28, 2009 10 Yes... you need to run a study first ie a static case of wahtever. then click on the assembly name and add a new study... at the bottom there is an icon with a screw and some nuts, that is the optimization mode. There are three tabs to fill out. One will link the static case you just ran. the other the parameters of your design you want to change, and with its upper and lower bounds the third the target goal you want: ie> deflection needs to be 2.49mm to 2.51mm and then just run it. it will also do assemblies.
