simple 1 revolution dc motor

I require a dc motor type/design to turn one revolution at an speed and torque of a typical cordless drill. A 4 second pause is to occur between each revolution.

This would be a higher volume production product and low cost is essential. I it would probably need to be produced in Asia and cost under $20.00.

I am not very knowledgeable on motion control products. Should I persue a stepper motor or are there any other suggestions?

Hello Cott, There are many different designs for cordless drills, but most of the ones I have come accross use a DC motor with a 1 or 2 stage planetary gear. There is a product line called Micro-Drives that has a few of the DC geared motors that would be very similar. They have a 32 mm and 42 mm diameter type in 12 or 24 volt models.
