I am looking for a simple method to estimate groundwater mounding under a sewage disposal field. The only information that I have for the calculation is the rate of percolation in inches per hour (or mm/hr.) and the daily flow of sewage discharged to the field.

Further, the significant boundary conditions are depth of water table - seasonal high water table - saturated permeability of treatment and disposal layers & impervious boundary. Other criteria: area of discharge or application; frequency of dose; in general, if ESHWT is greater than four feet, a critical mound
won't form with 2 to 3 gallons or less per SF. Always less with biosolids in effluent.

Mounding problem is a model that may be reduced to a simple linear argument.
