Simple Unit Conversion

Hi All

I am having a difference of opinion with some folks I work with regarding a unit conversion that I would like feedback on! Greatly appreciate it. The situation is as follows:

A manufacturer of a flux sensor lists its sensitivity as 1.9 microvolts per Watts/m2. What is the sensitivity in units of microvolts per Btu/hr/ft2.

W = 3.41214 BTU/hr
m^2 = 10.76391 ft^2
W/m^2 = 0.316998 BTU/(hr∙ft^2)

1.9 µV/(W/m^2) = 5.994 µV/(BTU/(hr∙ft^2))

gruntguru's answer from the calculator has obviously too many sigfigs, but there's a difference in Mathcad's conversion, resulting in 5.99372, which is curious, since everyone should be using the same conversion factors.

And interestingly, the conversions of watt to BTU/hr and m^2 to ft^2 match Mathcad's to 10 sigfigs, but the heat flux density only matches to 8, and manually cranking the conversion using that site's conversion factors yields 5.99372. and the sigfigs match to 8 sigfigs (5.9937224156 vs. 5.993722478), as one might reasonably expect.

Ron, can tell you about a marvelous web site: google.com, try writing "what is microvolts per Watts/m2 in microvolts per Btu/hr/ft2" in the search field and the top 2 hits are your answer (same as given above) (slight disagreement on the decimals though.
