Revisiting this connector as a contractor wants to use it to attach a deck. How is pullout and side-to-side shear resisted? The tables only give downloads.

Another case of Simpson only solving 1/2 the problem and hoping you don't find the easter eggs?
I suppose I can supplement with 3/8"Ø lags. The shear is so low, I don't have a problem with the brick taking it.

Footnote #3 addresses this. I don't see the problem, as you as the engineer have to create a load path (DTT2z, cross bracing, etc.). Even if this was rated for pullout would you really load single wythe brick out of plane? I don't particularly like this product but not because it isn't a one stop shop.
 
Not sure where they would get any uplift capacity either which seems problematic for a deck with hardly an dead load on it.

Seems they could run another screw horizontally to take pull-out. I don't like this product much either.
