Simulate principle stresses

Hi

I am new in using Abaqus, I built a simple model of an area with a drill hole in it. I want to apply the principle stresses on the boundary of the model, should I use pressure as the load or use something else? Can I apply the pressure on the boundaries in angle? With simulating hydraulic fracturing, do I just apply pressure at the inside wall of the well?
