Hello all,

I'm asking for some guidance on what kind of analysis should i perform in ABAQUS if i want to simulate a standard shaker test of a component. A shaker tests is done by "introducing a forcing function into a structure or component, using a shaker or a vibration testing machine". This forcing function is a random vibration profile in G^2/Hz (PSD profile)and i want to apply this profile to a component. What step should i use? Random response? Response spectrum? i have already done a modal analysis to my component but i'm a bit confused with these two steps...

Any help will be very appreciatted.

regards,

Nuno
