I posted this in the wrong forum so I am going to put it on here.

I am trying to determine the amount of stress that is occurring to a plate that is being supported by three bearings. I am not sure if my results are coming out correctly or not. The intent is to have the bearings fixed and a uniform load to be applied to the top plate pressing onto the bearings. How do I show the stress that is being applied to the plate at the point of contact of the bearings? It is showing deflection of the plate but not the stress at the bearing. Sorry if my question seems vague. Not sure how to word my question. I've attached a picture of what I have as my results so far. The biggest concern I have is do I have my restraints applied correctly?

If it would help I could also upload the Solidworks assembly.

Thank you in advance.

Yeah, the contoact pressure is what I want. The problem I am having is that I can't get the fixtures correct. The plate is floating on the "bearings" with the load pretty much uniformily distributed. All I want is to have a uniform load of 120,000 pounds distributed onto the three bearings. I've attached the model and simultation that I have so far to look at.

Thanks.

Unfortunately I am on 2011 so I can't open it. Since the plate can bend and you are loading the entire surface the same you will never get a uniform pressure. What is the actual case you are trying to simulate? You could possibly lower a rigid plate and have that press on your deformable plate. That is of course assuming that it is similar to the actual loadings. I hope this helps.
