Hello,

I would like to know if it's possible to have information about the E object(the wave)reflected from the object after it has been illuminated with another antenna. I would like to simulate a specific configuration but I need to have Eobject as shown in the figure.
So is it possible? And is there software which enables me to simulate it directly after specifying E ref and the characteristics of the antennas? or I should find a way by modelling it ?
I am new in this domain and I would appreciate any help [smile]

There are programs that can do that, but they're mostly finite element analysis (FEA), so closed form solutions are not possible

Of course I can. I can do anything. I can do absolutely anything. I'm an expert!
There is a homework forum hosted by engineering.com:

EM scattering from a cylinder is what's termed a canonical problem in GTD and UTD.

If you search using the terms cylinder canonical utd then I'm sure you'll find probably too much info.
