Simulation sudden loads?

Hi everyone,

I'm using SW 2010 Simulation.

Description of problem:
A van is in an accident, the passenger's body pulls against the belts which is anchored onto the seat. Load is transferred to the base anchors to the van floor.

I've derived reaction forces on the floor anchors (bolts) through standards applied.

I've modeled the van floor, and the associated components that accompany the configuration.


I understand that this force is applied momentarily in a real situation (0.3seconds approx).
I've been using Static Simulation with no-penetration contacts for all the parts in the assembly and simply applying loads onto the bolt faces.

Using small displacements method I get a warning and suggests me to check the large displacement option. The results from small displacements give very large displacements with large areas exceeding 1GPa.
Using large displacements I get much smaller stresses as well as a maximum displacement of 11mm only.

Note that these forces are approximately +-25kN on the front and rear anchor bolts, of which are about 300mm apart.

What is the best way to simulate this?
