Hi All
We have 3-off 315kw vsd without harmonic mitigation, it's proposed to use shielded single core cables to connect to motor.
I have asked the manufacturer if this is okay, they've responded: single core shielded cables are not recommended due to increased ground current and abnormal drive operation. They have recommended unshielded single core cables.
What do you think is the reason for their recommendation? Increased shield current causing more current to be drawn from the drive?
Any other comments? Cheers
