Site plan and Plot plan maps 2

Hello: Does anyone know where I can get free or reproducible street maps for the use of creating Site plans or Plot plans for my local Department of Buildings (for construction projects, drafted in AutoCAD)? I want to know if there is a better way to do it than to buy a Hagstrom map and then scan it into AutoCAD, because I don't think one is allowed to do that because of copyright laws. Help!

You can download Census data ArcView shapefiles for free. I don't know offhand if AutoCAD can import shapefiles or not, though.

If the municipality is using GIS, then you can use those maps.

GIS Services are created for content publishers and are accessed by many more users interested in that content. If the municipality has published ArcGIS map services for public access then you can connect to those services and see and query those map services via AutoCAD with ArcGIS for AutoCAD.

It's the Tiger Mapping Service of the US Census. It's public domain...ALL FREE! I can make as many site maps as I want.

I am bidding a retaining wall for a homeowner in a L shape
form, the hill in the rear of the house rise up to 5 feet
in a 20 foot length and after that stays at the same elevation
up to 150 feet,I am cutting into the hill 20 feet on one side
and 10 feet on the other in order to build the wall. I need some expert to tell me how thick the
wall should be, what No. rea-bars I should use, how wide and
thick the footing should be,also with retaining walls should I
abide to state frost lines like usually is done in pouring
house foundations or not, before hand this is a great web site
