Size Limitation to use Seamless Pipe

Hi All,

Is there any size limitation to use seamless pipe in oil and gas application.

In the tender client has mentioned to use seamless pipe for less than 16" size.

The size is limited to the manufacturer's capability. Seamless is readily available up to 24" diameter and available (not readily) up to 36" diameter. Your client is factoring costs of larger diameter pipe above 16". Long seam fusion welded pipe is readily available in 18" and over diameters.
