hello - sorry to bother on a weekend but i have a small question or need help - i have an application that moves a horizontal load of 350 pounds on a set of thk linear rails at a cycle time of every 15 minutes at a total travel of 70"
i am using an acme screw of 1 1/2" dia. 4 (.25" pitch) mounted on dual bearing blocks fixed at each end - i am having trouble sizing an ac or dc motor for this application - could someone show me the formula for sizing a motor coupled to the acme screw to obtain the desired speed or cycle time - any help or info would be greatly appreciated - thank you
