Can Some one tell how to size the output choke for reducing the dV/dT and reflected wave in VFD operated motor?

Considerations when Specifying and Selecting KLC/KLCUL Filters
KLC and KLCUL filters may be used in single Drive and Motor applications as well as a single Drive controlling
multiple motors. In each case, there are some application guidelines that need to be followed in order to insure
the optimum performance of your KLC or KLCUL Filter. Filters are sized based on the full load amps of the
motor or motors.

A star for wheelerTi. I also have a source that suggests a reactor impedance of 3-5%, but I was uncertain of the actual calulation for percent impedance. His source provides this information and should answer dccaps question.

Suggestion: Please notice that the reactor primary intent is to reduce harmonics, even though it suppresses reflected wave to some extent.
The proper hardware to suppress the reflected waves is dv/dt filter on the output of the VFD. The mathematics is somewhat different for the dv/dt filter sizing. There are transmission line wave equations applicable.
