We want to have 500 cfm to get rid of ammonia vapor-air mixture. What kind and size of blower we need for this?

If I want to add a cleaner -a 55 gal drum containing 5 % sulphuric acid as bubble chamber- to this exhaust system, then what sould be the size of the blower?

Hello,

A centrifugal blower constructed of materials resistant to your ammonia fumes should work. You will probably want to introduce the fumes into your drum at the bottom using a sparger. See the net address below which will give instructions for calculating the pressure drop through the drum. You should add this drop to that with you calculate for the blower before the drum.
